The 40th facelift of the city’s five-year-old Storefront Improvement Program has just been completed at Good Neighbor Tire at the intersection of Southwest Broadway Street and Southwest Lombard Avenue.
Storefront Improvement Program projects are located throughout downtown and along Southwest Allen Boulevard.
Over half of the businesses kicked off their process to change the look of their building by using the city’s 100 percent paid for Design Grant, giving the business owners time with an architect to help design a new look. Owners were then able to apply for an Improvement Matching Grant to help fund the new improvements.
Interested in doing some work on your storefront? The spring round of grant applications are due Friday, March 13th, 2020.
Two information sessions will be offered to provide more details about both Storefront and the restaurant-based Tenant Improvement grant program:
- Tuesday, February 11th, 9-10:30 a.m. at Beaverton Community Center, Vose Room (12350 SW 5th St.)
- Thursday, February 13th, 6:30-8 p.m. at Beaverton Library, Cathy Stanton Room (12375 SW 5th St.)
Please note that architects will be present at the sessions to begin conversations with anyone interested. Spanish interpretation provided. Childcare and additional interpretation can be provided upon request.
