This month’s super kids are 7 year old Mizuki Wong, a 2nd grader at Sexton Mountain Elementary school and 5 year old Kanako Wong who will be starting Kindergarten also at Sexton Mountain. Both Mizuki and Kanako are working 1 year above grade level in reading and math and that makes them super kids!
Great going Mizuki and Kanako!
About Mizuki
After completing kindergarten at Sexton Mountain, Mizuki travelled to Tokyo Japan where she spent the first few months of first grade. Now back at Sexton Mountain, she is looking forward to a new and exciting school year as a second grader. Mizuki loves to read and challenge herself with word puzzles and games.
In addition to travelling, Mizuki enjoys taking classes at Omega Gymnastics and swim lessons at Children by the Sea. When she grows up she says she wants to be either a paleontologist or a zookeeper.
About Kanako
Kanako also travelled to Japan where she had many great experiences. Like her older sister, she attends gymnastics and takes swimming lessons locally here in Beaverton.
Kanako started Kumon 6 months ago and we are very proud that as she enters kindergarten she is already starting 1st grade work.
About Kumon
Math. Reading. Confidence. Welcome to Kumon, the world’s largest after-school math and reading program. The Kumon Method has helped millions of children achieve more than they ever thought they could. We believe it can help your child, too. At Kumon, your child will build skills that lead to success inside and outside the classroom while gaining a sense of confidence that will help them in the classroom and beyond.
