Karen V. Unger, author of Brain Health for Life, Beyond Pills, Politics and Popular Diets appeared at the Beaverton Library’s first local authors fair, Author! Author! Saturday April 25, 2015 from 10:00 to 1:00 pm. Twenty- six other authors representing fiction, nonfiction, memoirs and poetry gathered to talk about their writing and make their work available for purchase. Dr. Unger was one of several authors who gave a presentation to the public on her book, bringing attention to the timely topic of brain health.

Brain Health for Life explains how diet and lifestyle can affect your brain and impact your cognitive aging. The book tells the reader what to eat, what to avoid and how to change your lifestyle to prevent disease, be vibrantly healthy and intellectually sharp throughout your life. One reviewer stated, “A thoroughly researched ‘eye opener’ that challenges old beliefs about what we eat… finally a practical guide to brain and overall health. A must read.”
